Lotus at Sunset – Giclee

Description

Sketching at The Morikami Japanese Gardens and Museum, I knew my next piece of art would have to be Asian inspired. The joy of black outline, experimenting with new techniques and processes, stylizing my sketches and stretching the right side of my brain, created a piece that took on a life of its own. I love lotus, for they grow from the brown muck into beautiful flowers. Sunsets are also inspirational, so I combined tranquil items to representing a garden of stillness, peace, and tranquility.
